Navarre Florida has been my home for over 15+ years. My wife and I had our
honeymoon in Destin, Fl. in 1988. We have seen this area grow by leaps and bounds.
We are proud of the growth and stability this area has.
There are a lot of things to do in the area. My little girl loves The Zoo of
Northwest Florida. The giraffe and the goats are her favorite. We are so glad
that they were able to keep the Zoo open.
NAS Pensacola Museum is our favorite place to go and take our family when they
visit. You can actually get up close to a Blue Angels jet and they even have F-14's
that you can fly. Simulator of course. The history is remarkable. What our pilot's
and military men have sacrificed for us is priceless. Thank you.
We have 3 military bases here in the Panhandle. NAS Pensacola,
Hurlburt Field, and Eglin Air Force Base. They are all within 50 miles of Navarre,
Florida. And we have the best location for military personnel to live. We also have
Whiting Field and Cory Field.
Our schools have been rated A+. Santa Rosa County Schools and the surrounding
areas have experienced a growth in attendance. Our teachers are well qualified
and I think are the best.
Our local paper is The Navarre Press. Great paper with interesting articles
regarding Navarre and its surrounding areas. Thanks Sandi, editor and chief.
We also have our wonderful Butterfly House. It went through some major damage
during Hurricane Ivan and Hurricane Dennins, but with the help of local
volunteers, it has come back. You can't miss that place, its "AMAZING"!!!
Our area Navarre Beach Chamber has great deal of information about our area
also, so don't miss out. Stop by the NEW office at the Park.

| In 1996, my wife and I decided that we better move to the beach or we'd be broke$$ from driving to the beach 3 1/2 hours away every weekend. Well then, Navarre Florida became our home. That was the best decision we ever made. Now fast forward 13 years and we are still here. The surf and sand calls our name every day. I drive over the Navarre Bridge at least 4 times a day. Whether its to look at the surf or just to look at the sound. You can't beat the view. There is absolutely no other place like it. The surfing community here is extremely friendly. The people in and out of the water are always there to great you "Hello". Our friends at Innerlight, Waterboyz, and Fluid are always there to help you pick the right board for you and the conditions that we have. Kiteboarding has become popular, and XL Kites is the place to go for all your kiteboarding needs. I picked up a trainer kite and have had the best time. And it will give you a work out. We also have a community of girls surfing. The girls are out there are in full force. It has grown over the years and we are seeing a lot of talent. You go girls'! My little girl is overly enthusiastic about surfing. She has her own board and she rips, with Dad's help of course. Check out the Gulf Coast Surf Sister's. Great Team to join, Thanks Lisa.
